"Nedrenaline!" New song by Brooklyn band 'Ned City Rockers'

Nedrenaline!
Some members of The Red Barbers formed an ad hoc band this week, Ned City Rockers, in order to release their new anthem 'Nedrenaline!' to capture the spirit of the moment...

The song is here:

NEDRENALINE! (Paz/Benjoya)

In these ugly times full of shameless crimes it's so easy to give up
Our democracy's hypocrisy is disgustingly corrupt
In Connecticut there are patriots who are ready to erupt:

Ned Lamont - at last we have a voice
Ned Lamont - not a puppet but the people's choice!

Now Clueless Joe tried to steal the show playing that third party game
Though he was a whore voting for the war he won't accept a drop of blame
He would gladly pee on the DNC - has he got no sense of shame?

Ned Lamont - said it clear the war is wrong
Ned Lamont - while Lieberman just went along!

[guitar solo]

On the Senate floor a Senator should passionately resist
The will to kill of the spineless shill who can't tell everybody's pissed
Now's the hour truth speaks to power - does such a Democrat exist?

Ned Lamont - will spring the first surprise
Ned Lamont - against Republicans in disguise!

Roger Paz (vocals), Dave Benjoya (guitar), Ian McGlaughlin (bass). Backing vocals are Stephanie & Jessica.

New York Times endorses Ned!

Rasmussen Poll Shows Lamont Ahead By 10

July 22, 2006

In Connecticut, Poll Shows Lamont Ahead by 10

A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Ned Lamont (D) beating Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) in the Democratic primary, 51% to 41%.

Here's the stunning finding: In the general election, Lieberman and Lamont are tied with 40% with Alan Schlesinger (R) trailing behind with 13%.

This is the SECOND POLL showing Ned ahead in 2 days. Wow -- that is amazing. There's hope yet...

    E-mail invite

Designed this e-mail invite for a NOW PAC/Connecticut Choice Voice event coming up. Ian did the html version. It's wonderful working on a project for a political campaign -- it' s great to use creative energy for such a worthwhile idea. To me, the most fantastic thing about Ned Lamont's campaign is that an idea is being forced out into the open, and many from all over the political spectrum have taken NOTICE. No matter what happens on Primary Day, it was absolutely necessary for this to happen to the Democratic Party - to sound an alarm and start demanding a restoration of this country back to at least the shape we were in the day before January 20, 2001. We now all have witnessed what happens when the Republicans are allowed to own all 3 govt branches. This fall's election is going to be one of the critical moments in our history.
